Translated Google Adsense Ads Are Now a Reality

Posted in Adsense, Google by Paul Jacob on December 11th, 2006

Google Adsense AdsRecently I have noticed some strange changes to ads presented by google.There has been talk of translated google ads couple of months back but seems to have settled untill today.

Google has today announced the release of google contextual ads in four new languages.The supported languages are Croatian, Czech, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese.

I am not sure why they would limit the translation to only those four languages as there are far more adsense publishers in other countries such as France,Russia,Italy and even several spanish speaking countries.

 To get started with generating your translated AdSense for content code, just visit the AdSense Setup tab in your account.You should note that it can take up to 48 hours for the crawler to access your site. As soon as your website is crawled,google can automatically detect your primary language and thus serving advertisements accordingly.

In addition to translated ads, I have also noticed some minor changes to the google logo structure before the advertisements.From what I see, I would not recommend google making changes to the current logo.By altering the look of the logo might cause publishers to lose revenue.

    I think you’ll find that these four languages are just the latest four in a long line of different languages supported.

    Here’s their page on languages:

    I’ve seen quite a few ads in Hindi over the past few days on my blog.

    I guess Google has started showing contextual ads based on country location as well.

    Darren thanks for your input in the matter but the hyperlink came up restricted.

    @Ajay

    Its great to see that google has even expanded their language translation to include hindi.Usually hindi is one of the last languages to ever be considered by companies.
