Virgin Atlantic eases restriction

Posted in Tech Corner by Paul Jacob on September 26th, 2006

Finally Virgin Atlantic has eased its previous restrictions on Dell and Apple laptops being used in-flight. Under the modified restrictions, passengers who have received crew approval can use their Dell and Apple batteries while on the plane. But non-approved batteries must be packed separately in a carry-on. On Virgin’s website they say that they are in communication with Apple and Dell and as soon as this safety issue is resolved they will lift all the restriction placed on Dell computers, and Apple as well.
