Napster was the Youtube of music in the nineties. Napster was unstopable in its glory days. Who knew back then that Napster will one day cease to exsist. I fell in love with napster instantly. It made it so easy to download music and so on. I have to give props to Shawn Fanning  an 18yr old college dropout who revolutionized how people got their music online atleast for a few years. Napster was the king in the late nineties. It was so popular that I never knew it will one day cease to exsist. I think Napster and the Soviets have something in common, both are history………lol

The music industry was not amused of having a service that will enormously decrease their share of the pie so these music moguls eventually managed to sue Napster out of existence. Napster tried to come back as a subscription service, but was never able to reclaim its past glory. Recently I read that Napster is on sale. I mean how can a company go on when it has 17 customers to its name. Shawn Fanning the founder of Napster was smart enough to cash out in time. Hopefully the Youtubes, and Myspaces of web 2.0 will not have similar fates.
