Microsoft released a test version of Windows Vista to some corporate testers on Friday, and said it will expand the program to selected tech enthusiasts soon.Microsoft is planning to broadly launch a test version by the end of September, said that it has delivered a more modest update (build 5536.16385) to businesses that are part of its Technical Adoption Program. Those who weren’t selected will have to wait until the release candidate is available to update their test version of Vista. It was reported that the new test version does not include any new features, but a representative for the software maker said it does include “quality and performance improvements based on feedback Microsoft has received to date”.

Monitor your Website 24/7

Posted in Web 2.0 by Paul Jacob on August 27th, 2006

Site24x7Ever wondered how you could watch your site stats to make sure everything is set to go. When it comes the safety of your website you could never be too sure.It doesnt matter wether your site is popular with millions of hits everyday or a blog with only a few visitors,we are all vulnerable to hackers. Tracking your website gives you that extra assurance and a cool head.

In  case of an emergency situation, you want to be notified immediately and Site24×7 will do just that and more for free.If a threat is detected site24×7 can easily send you an email or you can recieve an Text message directly to your cell phone. It’s from the same company, AdventNet, that develops the powerful Zoho Web Office Suite.

Just think of it as a personal site monitor that that continously monitors your websites and immediately issue an alert when there’s some unusual change on the design or when the blog site is offline.or when your webpage is returning a “page not found” error or taking too long to respond.

Here’s a typical configuration dialog to monitor your site or a URL. You can put your blog title or description in the keyword area so if anybody hacks the site replacing these titles with his own messages, you are informed that very instant.
